For Staff

Are you looking to introduce more work related experiences into your course?

The Sir Ian Wood Building

RGU’s Employability Plus strategy has a vision of all RGU graduates acquiring work related experience and/or participation in a ‘study abroad’ programme.  There is particular focus on postgraduate courses to make impact in market, and it is anticipated that all Oil and Gas Institute theme leads prioritise incorporation of work related experiences into their revised programmes.

Introducing more work related experiences has many benefits, including:

  • Positive impact on course marketing
  • More opportunities for students to put learning into action and increase employability
  • Increased networking with local businesses
  • Opportunities to access primary research data

We can help source small and medium size enterprises in the private, public and third sectors for challenges, specific projects, and placements. These can be taken into a taught module, run as a live client dissertation, an industry collaboration, a structured project or placement, or delivered via one of the Extra Curricular Business Project modules.

We can also assist in making wider industry connections through networking with the local business community, identifying potential guest speakers, and identifying businesses relevant for longer term strategic relationships.
