Academic Development works with staff and students across the university to support teaching and learning. By offering CPD opportunities, events and resources for staff, the team support RGU colleagues to uphold their professional standing and develop their academic practice. The team also enables students to become more independent learners and fulfil their academic potential by providing academic skills support through the Study Skills Service.

Access and Articulation
The Access and Articulation Team are responsible for leading the university’s strategic commitment in wider access, designing and developing access pathways to engage learners from a range of backgrounds. The team works in partnership across the university and with external partners to ensure the national ambition for access and articulation is effectively delivered in the context of the university and the region. The team also supports the university’s work with partner colleges, most notably North East Scotland College.

Analytics and Student Partnership
The Analytics and Student Partnership Team advocates the development of student representation and partnership across the RGU learning community. The Team also ensures the effective implementation of university-wide student evaluation questionnaires, and undertakes integrated analysis of key metrics to inform impact-driven enhancement activity.

The E-content development team specialise in producing high quality, multi-format materials and interactions for both internal and commercial clients. The team also assist in the production of staff and student-facing resources to support the enhancement of learning, teaching and access.

The Step Change team are responsible for the effective management and co-ordination of institutional learning and teaching projects. They will work in partnership with colleagues across the university to deliver measurable enhancement to the student experience and ensure there is a focus on achieving project outcomes and targets.
