Visiting Professor position awarded to senior executive at Aberdeen Asset Management

Hugh Little accepts tenure at RGU's Aberdeen Business School

Hugh Little, Head of Acquisitions at Aberdeen Asset Management, has been appointed to the role of Visiting Professor at Robert Gordon University (RGU).

The award of the title Visiting Professor is given by the university, for an initial three years, to high level professionals who deliver master classes to post graduate and master's students at the university's Aberdeen base. During his tenure, Hugh Little will deliver sessions to accountancy and business management students which will give an insight into his working world.

Mr Little is a qualified chartered accountant, who worked in the corporate finance division at Ernst and Young before joining Aberdeen Asset Management in 1987. He initially worked on acquisitions, before moving into private equity in 1990. He oversaw the growth of the private equity business for 16 years, including a number of successful strategic acquisitions and product launches.

In 2006 he moved back in to the corporate team as Head of Acquisitions, since then he has project managed the acquisitions of certain asset management businesses from both Nationwide Financial Services and Credit Suisse Asset Management, as well as the acquisitions of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Immobilienfonds from Dresdner Bank,Goodman Property Investors, Glasgow Investment Managers Limited and, in 2013, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP).
