Saudi student puts in first class performance at RGU

A Saudi computing student is celebrating after picking up a university award for his outstanding academic performance.

It was cause for double celebrations for the student who also picked up the class prize for the best academic performance on the course at the School of Computing Science and Digital Media's annual prize giving ceremony.

Abdulrahman said: “Winning the class award was a great support and motivation for me to push forward in my career and never stop learning and aim at the top spot.

“My course was full of interesting and required skills for an IT specialist. With knowledge and skills developed during my study, I feel equipped to face the challenges from the real working environment ahead of me.

“RGU is a great university where I felt supported in every way, the lecturers and the staff are very helpful to make sure I and all students have a good environment to study.”

Abdulrahman, who studied at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) prior to coming to RGU, added: “I would definitely recommend all students from TVTC and everywhere else to come and study at RGU and benefit from the UK number one university for a graduate employment.   

“My first goal after graduating is to gain working experience for at least one year and then continue my studies. There is a Data Science course in RGU that I am really interested in and I would love to take that course in the near future.”
