RGU supports 2017 North East Business Week

Robert Gordon University (RGU) is holding a number of events as part of North East Business Week (NEBW) which runs from April 24-28.

The Sir Ian Wood BuildingNow in its seventh year, NEBW is a collaboration between Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Elevator, SCDI and FSB and associated partners including RGU. The theme this year is Opportunity Driving Growth.

On Monday 24 April, RGU is hosting two events. Through their student agency, The Digital Scot, MSc Digital Marketing students are providing free digital marketing health checks for local businesses.

The students will offer tailored advice and a health check on the effectiveness of each business’s website and social media marketing with a view to identifying key actions to drive business growth through digital.

In the evening, RGU will hold a Supply Chain Forum at Sir Ian Wood Building at Garthdee. The sessions will feature presentations from Leah Gillott, Google Digital Garage Trainer, and Craig Hamilton, Area Manager, Amazon EU. It will be chaired by Paul de Leeuw, Director of the Oil & Gas Institute.

On the afternoon of Wednesday April 26, businesses and members of the public are invited to the BAFTAs when RGU hosts A Games Keynote with Brenda Romero in partnership with BAFTA Scotland and Oracle Academy at Sir Ian Wood Building at Garthdee. Brenda is an award-winning game designer who has worked on 47 games including the Dungeons and Dragons series.

RGU is also taking part in The Ultimate Business Show (TUBS) at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Included in the 75 local exhibitors taking place will be a team from RGU promoting the university’s online degree opportunities and Graduate Level Apprenticeship courses.
