Robert Gordon University has added to its list of impressive accolades with another top ranking from Times Higher Education.
The latest Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey has listed RGU as the top university in Scotland for its industry connections and engagement, with the university being ranked in the top 10 for the whole of the UK.
The survey assesses the student experience in higher education, asking them to rate factors including: academic experience, security, student welfare, accommodation, societal experience, industry connections and university facilities.
This latest accolade builds on RGU’s reputation for industry engagement and its focus on supporting students in their career journeys, which includes a graduate employability record of 96.3%.
The university’s commitment to quality teaching was recognised last year with the award of a gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, while The Guardian University Guide named RGU as the top university in Scotland for course satisfaction.
Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, Principal of RGU, said: “One of our key goals at RGU is to put our students and their career prospects at the forefront of our teaching and learning strategy.
“Each of our Schools works closely with industry and professional bodies to ensure that our programmes are not only of the highest quality, but are relevant and tailored to meet the needs of employers. In the case of many of our courses, this also includes placement opportunities with companies across the UK and indeed worldwide, ensuring that our graduates are work-ready.
“It is very gratifying to see that this has been recognised in the latest Times Higher Education rankings.”
