Aberdeen Couple Tie the Knot While at University

Flora Joyce graduated from Robert Gordon University at 10.30am on Tuesday 12th July with a Masters in Pharmacy.

Flora JoyceFlora (29) started her studies as a single girl but graduates as a married woman after marrying her childhood sweetheart Ronan (30) when he proposed in Paris during the second year of her studies.

Originally from county Galway in Ireland, the couple are very much settled in Aberdeen having made so many new friends who Flora says "keep Aberdeen warm, even in winter".

Throughout her studies Flora has also worked part-time at Aberdeen University to help the couple buy their first flat in Aberdeen. Planning a wedding while studying and working has been a challenge but Flora has enjoyed every minute.

Flora will be undertaking her pre-registration year in Aberdeen and Ronan works for a local bank in Rosemount. Long-term Flora plans to undertake training in community pharmacy in the north east of Scotland.
