How to apply

The good news is there is no separate application process for Pre-Sessional English courses (PSP). If you apply with a test result which does not meet requirements for your main course of study then at offer stage the Admissions Officer will also make an automatic offer to you for the required module of the Pre-Sessional course.

If you already hold an offer but would like to be considered for a place on our PSP programme then get in touch with our Student Admissions Service and they can review your application with a view to making an offer.

I need a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK:

If you plan to enter the UK and join the PSP programme on a Tier 4 visa then you will need to provide a UKVI Academic IELTS test result which does not meet the English level required for your chose course of study. The UKVI IELTS or Consortium IELTS as it is sometimes called is the current Secure English Language Test (SELT) which is accepted by the UKVI for Pre-sessional English applicants who require a Tier 4 visa.

Upon successful completion of the PSP programme the Tier 4 visa will allow you to remain in the UK while you make a new Tier 4 application for your main course of study.

If for any reason you do not receive an automatic offer (remember this will only happen when you send us a valid IELTS test result), please just let us know and we will fix it.

Our web pages will give further information and useful links www.rgu.ac.uk/visainfo

Once confirmed, students are encouraged to arrive on the Saturday prior to the Programme start date in order to attend classes on the Monday morning
