The Orientation Presentation will give you essential information to help you settle into RGU and Aberdeen. This will include how to register with a doctor, how to open a UK bank account, university support services available to you, visa requirements (if applicable) and other useful information.

Orientation presentations will be held daily from Monday 10 September 2018 to Monday 17 September 2018 (excluding weekends). Students will meet at Georgina Scott Sutherland Learning Centre at the Aberdeen Business School (level 3), Garthdee Campus at 9:30 am or 12:30pm

Induction and Freshers Week events

Our Induction and Freshers Week for new students is held in September, just before the start of term.

You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive. The programme gives you the opportunity to get to know the campus and the city, and to meet staff and other new students. There are social events and trips to help you to make new friends.

Meet and Greet Service

A free ‘Meet and Greet Service’ is offered to all new International and EU Robert Gordon University (RGU) students at Aberdeen International Airport from Saturday 8 September 2018 to Sunday 16 September 2018 (inclusive).

A friendly and welcoming Student Ambassador will be waiting to meet you at the airport.

The student will be easily identifiable wearing a black and white ‘RGU Welcome Team’ T-Shirt and you should make yourself known to them. The Student Welcome Ambassador will be able to offer you information and guidance on, amongst other things, onward travel to get to your accommodation.

You will also receive a Welcome Envelope which will give you essential information for your first few days.
