Application Procedure

Students interested in studying at Høgskolen Stord/Haugesund will be nominated by RGU. Once nominated, students will then be able to apply through Høgskolen Stord/Haugesund's online application system (the søknadsweb).

Students will then need to complete the application, and submit it along with; A completed and signed Learning Agreement, A Transcript of Records, A photo, and other necessary documentation (in some cases a proof of English ability may be required).

Accommodation provided

Exchange students at Høgskolen Stord/Haugesund are guaranteed university accommodation, either in student housing or the private market.  

Average cost of rent per month

Between 3500 to 6000 NOK.

Items provided in University accommodation

Depends on the residence, but the accommodation is normally fully equipped, coming with a bed, desk, chair, storage space, kitchen utensils, bed linens, etc. Though sometimes there are some exceptions.

Number of students sharing bathroom

In most cases accommodation has a private bathroom, though students may be expected to share.

Depends on the residence.

Cleaning service and how frequent

Depends on the residence, in most cases the upkeep of the accommodation is the responsibility of the student.

Other Relevant Information

The cost of rent includes bills for electricity and water, etc. The cost of living in Norway is anticipated to be about 10'000 NOK per month.
