Application Procedure

Students interested in studying at the University of Victoria will be nominated by RGU. Nominated students will then be able to apply.

Students will be provided with an incoming exchange student application form. Students will need to submit this form along with a number of supporting documentation (including; A Transcript of Records, A Copy of Passport, Two Passport Style Photographs, A Disclosure Form, a completed and signed Learning Agreement, and in the case of art students - a portfolio) to incomingexchange@uvic.ca.

Students will recieve an admissions package if they have been successful.

Accommodation is provided by the University of Victoria, but not guaranteed.

Average cost of rent per month

Between $ 4'000,- and $ 4'500,- per semester (includes meal plan).

Depends on the residence. Rooms come equipped with a bed, desk, chair, storage space, etc.

Yes.

Cooking facilities or meals provided

Meal plans are available. Some accommodation options include a shared kitchen.

Depends on the residence, common areas are cleaned regularly.

Other Relevant Information

Rent includes heat, hot water, electricty and internet access. 

Accommodation also features common rooms with cable TV, and other shared spaces.

Health & Medical Insurance

All new international students, including exchange students, will be automatically enrolled in UVic’s Mandatory Temporary Medical Insurance (MTMI) plan. Coverage will be provided by guard.me International Insurance. A fee of $265 provides coverage for the students during their first 4-month academic term at UVic (September to December, January to April or May to August).
