Application Procedure

Students interested in studying at HAMK will be nominated by RGU. Nominated students will then receive more information on how to apply by email from HAMK. 

Students will need to complete the online application form and submit the following documents; A Photo, A Motivation Letter, A CV, A Transcript of Records, A fully completed and signed Learning Agreement, and a Portfolio (only for design students).

Once all the documentation has been submitted the student will be contacted by HAMK, who will let them know whether or not they have been successful.

Accommodation provided

HAMK will help in arranging accommodation from HOPS (The Hämeenlinna Student Housing Foundation) in advance for exchange students provided that they inform of their arrival well in advance.

Average cost of rent per month

Between € 280,- and € 500,-

Items provided in University accommodation

Depends on the residence, but generally well equipped. Students can likely expect a bed, pillow and blanket (no linens), a desk, a chair, a dining table, kitchen utensils, storage space, etc.

Laundry facilities in the residences

Yes. Free to use.

Cooking facilities or meals provided

Cooking facilities provided.

Number of students sharing bathroom

Depends on the residence, normally not more than 2.

Mixed gender bathrooms

Depends on the residence.

Cleaning service and how frequent

Common areas are cleaned.

Other Relevant Information

The cost of the rent includes bills, as well as use of the facilities (laundry room, sauna, etc).
