Application Procedure

Students interested in studying at BU Weimar will be nominated by RGU. Nominated students will then be able to apply online on BU Weimar's website.

Once students have completed the online registration, they should print it out and sign it. After this the student should attach a photo and have the application signed and stamped by the Erasmus institutional coordinator at RGU.

Along with the application students should submit a transcript of records, a motivation letter, and (for non-native speakers) a proof of English language competence. Students wishing to attend the Faculty of Art and Design, and the Faculty of Media, will also be expected to submit a portfolio with their application.

All applications and associated documentation should be sent by e-mail.

Once the BU Weimar has made its selections, the university will get in touch with the student by email.

Accommodation is provided at BU Weimar but it is managed by Studentenwerk Thuringen.

Average cost of rent per month

Between € 100,- and € 300,-

Items provided in University accommodation

Depends on the residence, but students could expect to find a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, etc. Generally bed linen and blankets are not provided, nor is crockery.
