Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Teaching Excellence Fellow within the University Fiona takes a lead role in work to enhance the student experience across the School of Health Sciences and in leading our teaching and learning.
Biography
After qualifying with a BSc Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1993 Fiona worked in a range of clinical posts and specialised in respiratory care including paediatric and neonatal intensive care at the Leeds General Infirmary and then Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Fiona has been part of the team in the School of Health Sciences since April 2005 and has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2020. Fiona's research interests are in acute respiratory care and areas of teaching and learning, particularly assessment and feedback and the use of simulation to enhance student learning.
