Duties and Responsibilities
Dr Elliot Pirie is an Academic Strategic Lead within the School of Creative and Cultural Business where he is responsible for recruitment, international and commercial developments. His primary teaching actives are in areas such as marketing, consumer psychology, research methods, and international branding. His research interests are in consumer psychology, specifically the influence of haptic information on consumer decision making.
Elliot is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is involved with RGU’s Swiss partner programmes in Zurich and Lucerne. He is an external examiner for the University of Hertfordshire’s INTI Malaysian programmes, and University of West London’s London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism undergraduate provision.
Elliot is a member of the ABS Research Institute. His research interests are in: Online consumer behaviour; Use and acceptance of technology in retail; Experiential Marketing and Figurational Sociology
