Emily is the UNICEF Baby Friendly Lead for RGU’s Midwifery Programme, and her interests are in infant feeding, providing normality in maternity care, continuity of carer, sensitive midwifery care in complex social situations, complementary therapies and global maternal and infant health.
Emily has worked as a community and hospital midwife, both in Scotland and the Caribbean. For the majority of Emily’s clinical career she has worked as a community midwife in an award winning midwife led unit, with high home birth rates, and a commitment to continuity models of care.
In 2018, Emily completed a Masters in Maternal and Child Health, with a focus on global maternal and infant health and infant feeding.
