Louise gained a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography from the University of Portsmouth in 2006. In her first posts she developed interests in student supervision and training. Louise left the UK to work in Australia undertaking sole practice in a remote and rural setting and then within a busy department in Melbourne. Since then Louise worked as a Senior II and progressed to Senior I whilst at UCLH NHS Trust. During this time Louise gained her IV competency and an MSc in Radiography (Computed Tomography). Her research interest was in Aortic Enhancement in CT Pancreatic scans. Louise consolidated her CT skills in a post in Wellington, New Zealand.
On her return to the UK Louise started at Robert Gordon University in 2008. She completed Module 1 of HELT and is an associate member of the HEA. Louise co-ordinates a range of academic and clinical modules and is an IPL facilitator. Teaching and research interests include complex radiography simulations, care and empathy, CT, and interventional imaging. Louise is also course leader for the DipHE Radiographic Studies. She completed the Aurora program via the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (part of the Advance HE) and is an assessor and accreditor for the College of Radiographers.
