In addition to teaching on the Contemporary Art Practice BA (Hons) course at Gray's School of Art, Jim also inputs into the Fine Art Photography BA (Hons) at Glasgow School of Art. He has exhibited internationally in such countries as Egypt, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the USA. His work uses an interdisciplinary approach incorporating a wide range of media from public sculpture and installation to interactive media and the moving image. Over the last 10 years his research has taken a more theoretical turn investigating non-verbal representation within cultural evolution. This research has been presented at several conferences including papers given at UC Berkeley in the US and Imperial College, London.
Duties and Responsibilities
Stage Coordinator for Stage 2 Contemporary Art Practice and occasional input to the MA at Gray’s School of Art.
