Rachel previously worked for 15 years in Fire Service Control Room as Fire Control Operator, then as call handler for Grampian Police for approximately 3 years. Both jobs involved receiving emergency calls from members of the public and dispatching the appropriate resources to the call from all over the Grampian Region.
Rachel joined RGU in 2010 as administration assistant working for both the Interprofessional Education (IPE) department and Clinical Skills Centre within the Faculty of Health and Social Care. During the time spent with the Clinical Skills Centre, Rachel was heavily involved in the volunteer patient programme in which she enjoyed as there were many opportunities to interaction with the volunteers and met many very interesting people.
Rachel’s role changed in 2013 and Rachel took on the challenge to administrate newly created RGU:Wellness. Rachel is looking forward to developing her role within the RGU:Wellness and hopes to take things forward in a very exciting time.
