Ahmad Ayub is a Lecturer at the RGU School of Engineering. Previously, he worked as a lecturer at Perth College, University of the Highlands and Islands and as a researcher in High Voltage Technologies (HVT) Group at the University of Strathclyde. His areas of research interest include lightning, lightning protection, cable diagnostics, renewable energy (wind and solar).

Prior to joining academia, he was a technician for Intel Technology based in Kulim, Malaysia.
