Mario Avila is an expert in partnerships and international cooperation for basic and higher education.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and his Master’s degree in Social Economics both from the University of Geneva and the ETH in Switzerland. His work and studies have led him to consolidate an international career in Europe and North America, these experiences helped him develop an important skillset in intercultural exchange and languages.
His professional experience dates back to working in the hospitality industry early in his career while living in Europe. After returning to Mexico in 2014, he took up on University teaching in his native Durango, eventually moving to Mexico City where he worked as Director of International Cooperation and Partnerships for the Ministry of Education.
He currently resides in Mexico City where works as Representative for Mexico and Latin America for Robert Gordon University.
