Duties and Responsibilities
Dr Paul Arnell is a Reader in Law. He is also module leader for Public International Law, Legal Systems, Human Rights and Constitutional Law.

Paul’s research interests fall at the intersection of public international law, criminal law and human rights. Particularly he is interested in extradition, extraterritorial jurisdiction and human rights.
He is interested in supervising on all areas within his research interests, but particularly interested in applications in the following topic areas:
- The future of extradition - human rights, irregular rendition and state sovereignty.
- Managing concurrent criminal jurisdiction. A critical analysis of the attempts to address concurrent criminal jurisdiction internationally.
- Executive input within extradition - a necessary evil?
