Duties and Responsibilities
Maggie Anderson is Head of Year three law undergraduate programs, with particular focus on direct entry students undertaking the BA/BA (Hons) Law and Management.
She is Module Coordinator and Tutor of four media law modules, two of which are delivered to the UG BA/BA (Hons) Journalism cohort, these are Introduction to Media Law, Advanced Law for Journalists. She also teaches Media Law to PG MSc Journalism students, and to years three and four LLB and Law and Management cohorts.
In addition to her module coordinators role Maggie also undertakes a supporting role in the delivery of Business Law to management and HR cohorts at the University.
Maggie has been a lecturer in law at Robert Gordon University since 2008.
Maggie’s main area of interest is media law and media regulation in the UK.
She also has an interest in UK Immigration issues, specifically the law and practice surrounding the treatment of unaccompanied children seeking refugee status in the UK.
Another area of interest for Maggie is the law surrounding patient autonomy and end of life decisions, in particular the use of Advance Directives.
