Aberdeen Business School has always been at the forefront in responding to the growing need for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The School offers a variety of ways of studying (part-time, open and online) which help to meet the variety of CPD needs of those who are already in employment.

Most of these modules on our postgraduate courses can be taken on a free-standing basis and may contribute to your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

    This module is suitable for people working in a range of sectors such as energy, retail and the public sector. It is particularly relevant to those who may input to decisions regarding the deployment of Information Technology or who have an interest the successful contribution of Information Technology towards achieving organisational objectives.

  5. Innovation Skills

    This workshop for current RGU Research Students is delivered by Professor Gordon McConnell and gives students a good grounding in innovation-related topics such as creativity, ideation, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, technology commercialisation as well as key 21st century skills such as leadership and team development.

  6. Knowledge Management | Professional Development@RGU

    The module will give you the ability to identify and explain the principles that underlie the labelling and structuring of information in a wide variety of contexts.

  7. Networking | Professional Development@RGU

    This module will equip you with the skills to disseminate information to clients, using the up-to-date technologies expected of a modern information service. It will also help you make your service more visible to your target audience, and encourage their interaction in optimising the service.

  8. Records Management | Professional Development @RGU

    This is suitable for those interested in an archive or records management role or with administrative experience who wish to develop their knowledge and skills. Particularly relevant to information governance issues involved in the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.
