Scott Sutherland School End of Year Show
Great opportunities to view the work of our talented graduates this June.
A final-year Architecture student at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment has designed a new social hub for the town of Aviemore, where locals and visitors can come to eat, drink and socialise.
Our End of Year Show showcases the best work of our students across all disciplines, reflecting the broad spectrum of activities undertaken within our School. The show takes place from 23 June to 15 July.
On display are a broad range of design projects that ably demonstrate the high calibre of our students, as well as the sophisticated skills they develop that make them highly sought after by employers. You will see work that achieves a refined balance between imagination and realism, a balance that renders work progressive and inspiring, yet also credible and compelling.
As a school we are interested in addressing real scenarios and conditions, exploring these with creativity and rigour. It is this focus that equips our graduates to make an impact and lasting contribution to our professions, our industry, our communities and to society.
Follow a route through our school starting with three exhibitions from our Masters Units – Home, Orkney Caravanserai, and a future for Aberdeen Harbour – followed by a series of architectural masters thesis projects including designs for Aviemore, Schools internationally, and building upon floodplains – then upstairs to an exhibition on Scottish Modernism and the work of final year Architectural Technology students – then finally up again to the work of stage 3 with co-housing in Torry and adaptations of a former art deco car garage.
