Jane Gray is celebrating degree success as she graduates from Robert Gordon University with a 2:1 in Public Relations.
The 22-year-old, from Portlethen, took to the stage at His Majesty’s Theatre on Wednesday July 11 at 2.30pm to collect her degree.
Jane decided to go to university as she loves to learn so it seemed like the natural next step for her.
She said: “I looked forward to not just the educational element but also wanted to experience the full student lifestyle.
“I had been interested in Public Relations for a while after looking at the RGU course it seemed to involve so many areas I was interested in. the placement opportunity was also a factor as well as RGU’s reputation for its high employment rate for graduates.”
Jane said she loved her university experience including her third year placement with the RGU Communications team, where she was kept on for a further few months as she was such an asset to the team.
“I am so proud to be graduating with a 2:1 alongside the people I have met over the past four years who have became some of my best friends,” she added.
“I think the placement opportunities to students in the third year of the course is fantastic. My friends and I have had such positive experiences which have really prepared us for our future careers and I would highly recommend future students to take full advantage of these opportunities.”
Jane is hoping to get a job in PR and put everything she has learnt over the past four years into practice.
“I think the placement semester has particularly prepared me, as well as the great teaching and support from so many of the amazing lecturers at the university who were always on hand to provide support and guidance,” Jane concluded.
