Induction and Freshers Week events

Our Induction and Freshers Week for new students is held in September, just before the start of term.

You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive. The programme gives you the opportunity to get to know the campus and the city, and to meet staff and other new students. There are social events and trips to help you to make new friends.

Meet and Greet Service

A free ‘Meet and Greet Service’ is offered to all new international and European RGU students on arrival at Aberdeen International Airport between 9am and 7pm on Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September 2019.

A friendly, helpful and welcoming member of RGU staff will be waiting to meet you at the airport and you should make yourself known to them.

They will be able to offer you information and guidance on, amongst other things, onward travel to your accommodation. You will also receive a Welcome Envelope which will give you essential information for your first few days.

The University will provide a free minibus which will take RGU students from Aberdeen International Airport to university accommodation between 9am and 6pm. Please note that space is limited and seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, you may choose to pay for a taxi or a bus to reach your accommodation.
